Our Hydrating Balancer is the unsung hero of the Pour Moi collection. As the first step in both the morning and evening rituals, we’ve deemed it an essential everyone should be using. Why? Allow us to elaborate.

It Balances Things Out

Extreme weather or traveling between two climates can wreak havoc on your complexion, causing it to become irritated and inflamed. One of the Hydrating Balancer’s primary functions is to recalibrate your skin’s pH every morning and again every evening, quelling inflammation and paving the way for the treatment products you apply after it. To accomplish this, the liquidy Hydrating Balancer contains both Citric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide, two well-known pH adjusters. Bonus: In addition to making the rest of your skincare regimen work more efficiently, balancing pH levels will also help temper breakouts and sensitivity.

It Helps Shed the Dead

Because the toner-like Hydrating Balancer is applied with a cotton pad, the act of wiping your facial skin is akin to manual exfoliation, helping to loosen dead cells clinging to your skin. The Balancer is also fortified with Glycolic Acid, which helps accelerate sloughing by dissolving the sticky substance that holds onto to dead skin cells. The result: clearer, softer, more even skin—plus a clearer path of penetration for every product applied after the Balancer.

It Infuses Skin with Antioxidants

Pollution—and the free radicals that populate it—are problematic for your complexion in any climate. Thus, the Hydrating Balancer contains a cocktail of antioxidants including vitamins A, C, D and Pro-Vitamin B5 to combat those age-accelerating free radicals. As a bonus, some of these antioxidants also boast their own additional benefits: Vitamin A increases collagen (the substance that makes skin plump and firm), while Pro-Vitamin B5 reduces inflammation.

It Plumps and Smooths the Skin

Like your first glass of water in the morning or a carafe of water set on a bedside table, the Hydrating Balancer satiates your thirst at both the beginning and end of day. Unlike a regular toner that strips skin of moisture, our Balancer actually increases moisture. Its secret weapon: Glycerin, a natural humectant that will literally pull water to your skin from that morning or evening sip of H20.

Hydrating Balancer Makes Getting Glowing Simple

The Hydrating Balancer is hard-working but not hard on you. To use, just place a dry cotton pad on the flat applicator and pump a couple of times. Then swipe over your face. Voila! In the morning, follow with either the Black Serum (for dry to very dry skin) or the White Serum (for everyone else) and the Pour Moi Day Cream that’s right for your climate. Follow the same series of steps in the evening but swap out the Day Cream for the Night Cream.
